In Canada, there are currently more than two million individuals with Type II Diabetes. By the end of this decade, this number is expected to rise to three million. Type II Diabetes is an expensive disease both for the Canadian Health Care System and for the individuals living with this disease. Although, there is currently no cure for this disease, the onset of Type II Diabetes may be prevented or delayed through increased physical activity, healthy eating, weight loss and stress reduction.
