Recommended Immunizations
Recommended immunizations according to these schedules will provide basic protection for most children against the diseases shown (Public Health Agency of Canada, 2007).
Why is it recommended to have an immunizations schedule?
An immunization schedule ensures can allow for achievable protection to be achieved. Changes can be made within the recommended schedule may be necessary because of illness and change in schedule of visits. It is important to develop a immunization schedule with your family physician or public health nurse that is specific to both your child and your own needs. Therefore, interruption of a series of vaccinations does not require starting the series over again, no matter how much time has passed in between the vaccinations (Public Health Agency of Canada, 2007).
